Zach Phillips

My name is Zach Phillips and I live in Tifton, Georgia.

I have been following my dad and brother around the woods since I was six. I got started by hunting rabbits and quail hunting up in Missouri with my family on Christmas break. I would follow behind my cousins with my little single shot 20 ga and I killed my first rabbit when I was seven.

After the first rabbit, I was fired up about hunting and had me wanting to hunt whenever I could! I killed my first deer when I was 11, a nice 9 point and I've been HOOKED ever since!

I don't hunt any big preserves or plantations. Most of my hunting is on small farms or on public land. It has been five years since I killed my 9 point and up until this season I hadn't seen a buck with antlers past his ears! However, this season I finally got my big one! A HUGE 10 point on our 300 acre lease in Berrien County. I love deer hunting especially with my bow and hope to kill a buck with it this next season.

I hunt anything I can deer, hogs, ducks and most importantly turkeys. There is just something about turkey hunting that I love. I turkey hunt whenever I can, and think about it when I can't. I'll be in the deer stand and be thinking about it. I anxiously await the opening day of the next turkey season!

I have recently started filming my hunts so I can share my outdoor pursuits and experiences with other people, especially other young people so maybe they can become interested in the outdoors and learn from my experiences! I have been having a lot of fun and have learned a lot doing it.

I am glad to be a part of Team Hammerdog and Team Hammerpup Outdoors and look forward to filming all my outdoor adventures!
