I got hooked on hunting and fishing as a child thanks to my dad, who started taking me with him at an early age. My favorite time of year is the Spring - when those wiley gobblers are strutting their stuff. I got the TV production bug when I was in the 1st grade, while on a field trip to the very news station that I am currently employed as senior producer.
As I got older, I started getting interested in videography, and would make little stop-motion animated movies with my parents' JVC VHS camcorder. I set my goal to work in the outdoor television industry, and began laying the foundation to fulfill that dream in the late 1990's. I have been a TV news producer for almost 10 years now, and helped Wayne kick Team Hammerdog Outdoors into high-gear back in 2004. I am proud of being a part of THO, and especially the work we all put into producing "As Real As It Gets" - Team Hammerdog's first big game DVD. We set laid out a goal, stuck to the game-plan and are very pleased with the end result. If you haven't picked up a copy yet, I encourage you to do so - you won't be disappointed.
Despite what I've been able to accomplish so far, my greatest joy has been the family that God has blessed me with. I met the love of my life, Allison, in 1995, and we married in May of 2000. Not only did God bless me with a beautiful wife to spend the rest of my life with, He also sent us one of his beautiful little angels. Jillian Grace was born in August, 2006, and it didn't take her long to show an interest in daddy's cah-cahs (that's duck calls, for those of you who don't speak baby talk). I might just have a future competition caller on my hands - so get ready Stuttgart! Allison doesn't hunt, but she's a relentless angler when the bream bite is on, and loves my mom's fried deer steaks.
My motto is take a camera with you, because you just never know. I encourage you to pack a video camera on your next hunting trip or fishing excursion. The moments you capture can be re-lived over and over again, and you never know - you just might end up with some footage we can include in an episode of Team Hammerdog Outdoors.
See you in the outdoors...
