Craig Fletcher

Hi and welcome to THD, my name is Craig Fletcher and this is my story. My exposure to the great outdoor started when I was very young boy, hunting and fishing on my Grandfathers' farm in N.C. There, I learned patience, self control and focus fishing with my Grand Father and how to aim and steady for a shot from my Grand Mother. No predator ever made it out of her garden alive.

Both these 2 people were inspirational in my life and laid the foundations for my many successes. After college and a short stint with the White Sox organization, and Kickboxing career, I found myself more interested in helping children and fishing. I was able to acquire some sponsors and started fishing on the Redman Trail and in local Bass tournaments. My work schedules started to leave little time for hunting for big game. It wasn't until my wife delivered our first set of twins that I was able to start serious hunting again and left tournament fishing. I grew up in the suburbs of the nation's capital, where athletics took presence over hunting.

Shooting archery was always very natural to me. Since then, I have acquired my certification from the NFAA&NAA as a Level 2 Archery Instructor. As my skills increased an old injury prevented me from shooting competitively and led me to a found love of teaching. I am now a Field Staff Rep. for PSE, Browning Archery and Archery Research and a Pro-Staffer for Zero-Detect Camo.

I enjoy all aspects of hunting and fish but mainly like waterfowl and Upland hunting. I loved watching my Chocolate lab "Chivas" work. When I lived on the West Coast, we I did field trials and have hunted in many of the states across the U.S. Many a trophy species have hung on my wall, but none make me more proud than when a bird is brought to my hand by my faithful friend. I was able to start my own guiding business and water fowling was my primary focus. I am fortunate enough now to own a business in the hunting industry that can provide me with successes both professionally and involve my recreational interests.
